VALENTINE'S CHOCOLATE COOKIES

Served with white chocolate and red icing. Perfect for a valentines dessert!

SERVES 6:


INGREDIANTS:

1 Egg

100g Unsalted Butter - Melted

150g Brown Sugar

150g Self raising flour

80g Cocoa Powder

1/2 Tsp Baking Powder

1 tsp Vanilla Extract


Icing:

40g Icing Sugar

1 tsp Red Food Colouring

90g White Chocolate - Melted


Total Calories: 326 calories per cookie

Without icing: 111 calories per cookie


Method:

  1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees/ gas mark 4.

  2. Put melted butter, sugar in a bowl and whisk until smooth.

  3. Once combined add the vanilla extract and eggs until mixed together.

  4. In a serperate bowl sift the flour, cocoa and baking powder until fully combined.

  5. Next gradually pour the dry mix into the wet, until fully combined.

  6. Once combined get a baking tray with baking paper on it.

  7. Spoon out the ingrediants so you make 6 individual cookies

  8. Next put in the oven to cook for 20 minutes, checking every 5 minutes.

  9. When the knife is clean throughout the middle you are ready to go!

  10. When cooked leave until cool before decorating.

Icing:

  1. Measure out the icing sugar and add the red food colouring.

  2. Put a tiny bit of water into the bowl and mix together until combined.

  3. If to dry add more water.

  4. You want to end up with a runny outcome.

  5. Lastly melt the chocolate over the stove, keep stiring until its fully melted.

  6. Use a spoon to drizzle the chocolate over the cookies.

  7. Serve with a cup of tea and ENJOY!
